Gabriel Barrera

founder, artist

Gabriel Barrera (He, Him), is a Visual Artist living in Southern Oregon. He works in various mediums from traditional art methods to multimedia and graphics. The identity of his artwork is rooted in social justice, advocacy, and mentorship. Being influenced by his mother, a school teacher, and his father, an artist/tool designer, he has found his strength in merging his influences to produce his practice of Artivism.

Business manager

Merilee Ford Barrera (she, her) is a three-time cancer survivor, believer and pusher for equity and social justice, gardener, cook, cuddler of Chula and Xochitl (M&G's cats), Business Manager at ScenicG. As Business Manager at ScenicG, Merilee works closely with Gabriel on budgeting, grant writing and vision planning, helping to determine next steps for ScenicG and what is needed to fulfill Gabriel’s vision. In addition to managing the business, Merilee joins Gabriel in EDI facilitations.
